New Content on the 2nd Comforter Jesus Christ

A new page has been added that includes a large collection of references to the doctrine of the 2nd Comforter, spoken of in the Book of John in the New Testament, and Calling & Election:

"John 14:23—The appearing of the Father and the Son in that verse, is a personal appearance; and the idea that the Father and the Son dwell in a man’s heart is an old sectarian notion, and is false." (D&C 130:3)

"Now what is this other Comforter? It is no more nor less than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself; and this is the sum and substance of the whole matter; that when any man obtains this last Comforter, he will have the personage of Jesus Christ to attend him…appear unto him from time to time, and even He will manifest the Father unto him, and they will take up their abode with him, and the Lord will teach him, and the heavens will be opened to him, and the Lord will teach him face to face, and he may have a perfect knowledge of the mysteries of Kingdom of God;" (TPJS, p. 150-151)

Three new pages of content have been recently added to the site:

A new page on how the Book of Mormon is indeed the most correct of any book on earth because it can lead it's reader into God's presence;
A new page on Joseph Smith and polygamy, contrasting the claim that the president of the church cannot lead the people astray with the differences in perspectives between Joseph Smith and Brigham Young regarding polygamy;
A new page on the Lord as the Good Shepherd, with 1) a comparison between Psalm 23 and the Doctrine of Christ and 2) a study of the parable of the lost sheep -- who are the "righteous" and who is the lost sheep?

Historical Edition of the 1840 Book of Mormon Now Available

The developers of a new website, wordsofeternal.life, have published facsimiles (photographs) of every page of both an original 1840 and an 1842 edition of The Book of Mormon, which were "carefully revised by the translator", Joseph Smith, prior to his death. The facsimiles posted on this website were created independently of the Joseph Smith Papers Project. This website provides easy viewing and study of this important book of scripture.

Additionally, a large number of volunteers worked together to create an electronic copy of the 1840 Book of Mormon, including all printing and spelling errors. To honor the labor of the Prophet Joseph Smith, these materials were made available on his 212th birthday (December 23rd, 2017).

Restoration Edition of the Scriptures Volume II Released: The New Covenants

Volume II of the Restoration Edition of the scriptures has been released for publication. Entitled The New Covenants, this volume includes the Joseph Smith Translation of the New Testament of the Bible as well as the 1840 edition of the Book of Mormon. This volume is available for download here and for purchase here. Volume I, The Old Covenants, and Volume III, Teachings & Commandments, will be released in the future.
